About the Album
The Cure's tenth studio album — a deliberately eclectic, stylistically restless record following the massive success of Wish. Underrated on release, its playful range, orchestral flourishes, and darker undercurrents have earned it a devoted cult following over the years.
Built during a period of lineup change, the album intentionally jumped between styles rather than following a single mood. It reflected Robert Smith's interest in contrast and orchestral color after the success of Wish.
